  • When you power on the headphones and hear the tone, the audio is personalized to your ears for the best audio performance
  • The headphones must be on your head for the voice prompt to play.

Power off

The headphones feature two off states Sleep and Off.

  • Sleep conserves battery but can be woken by placing them on your head, or pressing any button - either Bluetooth/Power, Multi-function, or Volume strip.
  • Off uses no battery and can only be woken by pressing and releasing the Bluetooth/Power button.

To turn the headphones Off, press and hold the Bluetooth/Power button until you hear a tone. The status LED on the left earcup will flash white twice. When the headphones are powered off, noise cancellation is disabled.

Sleep - The headphones conserve the battery and go to sleep when you remove them from your head and they are not in use for 10 minutes (5 minutes from Software Version 1.6.7 onwards).

The headphones power Off completely after 24 hours of inactivity (by default) when in Sleep mode.
You can adjust this delay in the Bose app from the Settings menu >Power> Auto-Off and choose between 5, 20 and 40 minutes, 1, 3 and 24 hours or never.
